Niki and Jess Book :

Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard on this wonderful production!  This was the first high school musical that we have attended in Ohio, and it was superb!  We especially loved the SASSY Anita:)

From Theresa Hedges-Wydick:

I've enjoyed watching the show and want to express my appreciation for all of the folks involved in this production!!  All of your hard work and preparation really paid off!  The sets; props; makeup and costumes were beautiful; creating a mood and setting a tone for the events to unfold.  The music is wonderful; it was well balanced with the dialogue and vocals.  The efforts of the talented Tech Crew to coordinate all the elements of sets, lights, sound and actors is amazing (and a special WOW! for the team who designed and built the floor and tracking system.....)  The actors bring great energy to their roles; I can tell they are enjoying themselves, but they are so into their roles I hardly recognize some of them!

I especially enjoyed the performances from 2 of the 'adults'- Glad Hand & Doc; their performances are consistently on target eliciting strong, though different emotional reactions from the audience.  Glad Hand's well intentioned put poorly received efforts to bring the Jets and Sharks together at the dance was truly funny and earns a well deserved reaction from the audience!  His use of body and voice during interactions with the gangs, including attempts to communicate using broken Spanish created a nice contrast to the police who were intent on promoting divisiveness.

Doc seemed genuinely concerned by the attitudes and actions of the Jets and Sharks; you can see the toll it takes on him over the course of his interactions with the gangs as his efforts to influence events and prevent tragedy are ignored.

Congratulations to all for a job well done!

WSSImage From David Crouse: Maria's voice and Rosalia's dancing are truly outstanding. All the actors successfully portray the emotional highs and lows of this storyline. The accidental tragedy of the rumble scene is well done with realistic threats, actions, reactions and overall controlled chaos. The pit orchestra is excellent at punctuating key moments without interfering.
